A 16-year-old boy playing in the rain was hit by lightning outside his home in sitio Sambag 2, barangay Guadalupe at 2 p.m. Monday.
William Gabihan, a third year high school student was declared dead on arrival (DOA) after barangay tanods failed to revive him. Barangay Public Safety Officer (BPSO) Alex Navaja said they received a telephone call from Gabihan’s neighbor about the incident.
Another BPSO, Christie Minoza, together with two other barangay tanods went to the area and found a soaked Gabihan lying on the ground with his back severely burned.
