Fire razes lodging house, appliance store

About P200,000 worth of property were destroyed by a fire that razed down a lodging house in Osmena Boulevard, Cebu City at 5 a.m. Monday.

Chief Insp. Rogelio Bongabong, City Fire Marshall said the fire started in one of the rooms of the lodging house.

The lodging house occupied the 2nd and 3rd floors and has 48 rooms.

The ground floor housed an appliance shop. There were no lodgers during the fire. The fire was controlled 25 minutes later and put out an hour after.
