A Japanese national was found hanging by his neck in his house in barangay Mambaling, Cebu City.

Police said there were no signs of foul play in the death of Kiyoshi Nakahigashi, 55, a native of Nishihama, Wakayama City, Japan.

The man was found by his live-in partner Tiffany Ann Villamor suspended from the beam with a leather belt tied around his neck past 7 a.m. yesterday, said SPO4 Alex Dacua, homicide investigator of the Cebu City Police Office.

Police said financial problems may have drove the man to kill himself.

Villamor told police that she and her partner have been hounded by financial difficulties since they lived together three years ago.
