Suspect in gasoline station robbery arrested

One of two suspects in the robbery of a gasoline station at sitio Nasipit, barangay Talamban, Cebu City was arrested at his house at Sitio Beavers, barangay T. Padilla, Cebu City yesterday afternoon.

Senior Supt. Noli Romana, Cebu City police chief, presented to the media robbery suspect Melvin “Dinong” Roble. He said one of their witnesses confirmed that Roble allegedly took the P18, 000 from the cashier’s booth.

The police also recovered from the 33- year old suspect’s possession one grenade, one .357 “paltik” revolver and drug assorted paraphernalia.

Roble and his cohort posed as customers when his accomplice confiscated the shotgun of security guard Abeso Corredo while Roble went to the cashier’s booth at dawn last Sept. 25.
