11 nabbed in Mandaue, Lapu drug raids

Eleven persons were arrested by police in separate drug bust operations done in the cities of Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu last Tuesday and Wednesday.

First to fall was 38-year-old Rico Cuizon, a resident of barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City. Found in his possession was one sachet of shabu last Tuesday evening.

The Marigondon Police Station arrested Ramilito Amodia, Rolly Orivenes and Bernie Batusin, after they were caught selling shabu to a police decoy in a buy bust operation also conducted last Tuesday evening.

Taken from them were seven sachets of suspected shabu and one .357 revolver.

At past 12 midnight Wednesday, police arrested 45-year-old Vicente Malinao, a resident of barangay Babag, Lapu-Lapu City who yielded 10 sachets of shabu.

Later in the day, the City Anti-illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group (CAIDSOTG) of Lapu-Lapu City arrested suspects Jonathan Tampus, 43, Alber Tapao, 26, Mark Anthony Gonzales, 31, all residents of barangay Marigondon.

Taken from them were four small plastic sachets of suspected shabu and the P200 marked money were confiscated from them.

In Mandaue City, the Casuntingan police precinct arrested Gerry Basig, 24, a resident of barangay Maguikay, Jan-Jan Villarta of barangay Umapad and Carlo Maglasang, of barangay Alang-Alang for possession of seven sachets of shabu.
