Six Cebuano students in top 10 of teachers board exams

Six Cebuano students made it to the top 10 of the teachers board exams held last Aug. 17.

The Professional Regulation Commission released the list of 25,301 new elementary teachers and 26, 767 new secondary teachers.

Jacqueline Pono of the University of San Carlos shared the 3rd spot with an 88.8 percent grade in the LET elementary level. Aimae Balbuena of the University of Cebu in Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue also shared the 4th spot with three others by scoring 88.60 percent.

Gee Rianne Pitogo of Cebu Normal University placed 5th with 88.4 percent. Joanne Barcelonia of the University of San Carlos landed in 8th place with 87.80 percent and Maria Rina Lazo of the Cebu Normal University is in 9th place with 87.60 percent.

In the LET secondary level, only Mariel Ybañez made it to the top 10, landing in number 10 with 88 percent.
