Hardwork, determination pay off for Tesda scholars

Recipients of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) scholarship grant for typhoon surivors will finally graduate a year after supertyphoon Yolanda almost washed out their dreams away.

Tesda Secretary Villanueva will be in Bogo and Medellin towns and Camotes Island in northern Cebu for the three-day graduation rites starting Nov. 5.

Villanueva will honor the graduates for their hardwork and determination to get back on their feet despite the typhoon and to pursue a technical education.

He will lead the distribution of training certificates to the graduates who took up carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical installation, among others.
