Five-year-old boy missing after being caught by strong water current

A five-year-old boy went missing after being washed away at the Pandan river in Tinaan, Naga, Monday morning.
Christian Dave Alferez was headed to kindergarten class when he left his slippers while crossing the river. The kid tried to get it back but a strong current washed him downstream, Naga City police investigator PO2 Gilmore Noval said.
The river is about six kilometers away from the national highway. It was raining in the mountains of Naga when it happened. The search for Alferez is still ongoing.
