Located in the midst of lush jungle, green mountain ranges and the vast waters of the West Philippine Sea, Sheridan Beach Resort & Spa became Palawan’s first green resort despite the challenge of limited energy supply in its location.

BPI partnered with this world-class resort on its bid to promote sustainability through intelligent green efforts in its day to day operation. Under the BPI Sustainable Energy Finance Program, Sheridan was built around the concept of environmental responsibility using energy-efficient materials and facilities that include solar panels, wind turbines, waste water treatment, rain water harvesting and heat recovery system.

Sheridan Beach Resort & Spa knows fully well its responsibility to the environment with the famous Puerto Princesa Underground River, one of the World Heritage New 7 Wonders of Nature, only 15 minutes away by boat from the resort. Located in one of the most protected areas in Palawan, Sheridan Beach Resort & Spa limits its watersports activities in order to safeguard the habitat of local species both in land and water.

Sheridan Beach Resort & Spa is the only luxury resort in Palawan to own and manage an organic farm that produces various fruits and vegetables for consumption of the Resort as well as organic black rice that is being distributed nationwide. Guests are encouraged to drop by the farm to enjoy a sumptuous meal of hand-picked produce and leave a lasting legacy in Palawan by planting a tree.
