Mild quake hits cities of Cebu, Mandaue, Lapu-Lapu

An earthquake was felt in Cebu at 9:28 a.m. Monday.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the 3.7 magnitude earthquake was tectonic in origin.

The depth of the earthquake is two kilometers and is located 50 km northeast of Mandaue City. Intensity 4 was felt in Cebu City and Mandaue City, intensity 2 in Lapu-Lapu City and intensity 1 in Bogo City and Ormoc City.
