The four remaining squads in the women’s division get down to business as they clash for spots in the finals of the  2014 Philippine Superliga Grand Prix today at the Cuneta Astrodome.

The Blaze Boosters raise the curtains when they face Cignal at 2 p.m. while the Life Savers tangle with RC Cola-Air Force at 4 p.m.

Meanwhile, PLDT Telpad-Air Force tries to retain its crown when it collides with Cignal in the championship battle of the men’s division at 6 p.m.

With the nucleus of the national team that saw action in the FIBV Men’s Club Championship at the helm, the Turbo Boosters went undefeated in the single round eliminations and winning another title will cement their legacy as the most successful club in the men’s side.

Tasked to lead the cudgels for PLDT Telpad-Air Force are high-flying Ran Abdilla, Ron Jay Galang, JP Torres, Kheeno Franco and Jayson Ramos.

The HD Spikers, for their part, will be bannered by Jay Dela Cruz, Dexter Clamor and former San Beda ace Gilbert Ablan.

But still, the highlight will be set on Petron and  Generika, two powerhouse squads billed to engage in the do-or-die finals showdown on Sunday after an emphatic performance in the elimination round.

With former Miss Oregon Alaina Bergsma and Brazilian sensation Erica Adachi spewing fire in the attack zone, the Blaze Spikers closed the preliminaries with a commanding 8-2 win-loss card while the Life Savers finished with a five-game winning run to conquer the second spot with a 7-3 mark.

Expected to banner the Life Savers are skipper Cha Cruz, Aby Marano and Stephanie Mercado while Russian hitter Natalia Kurobkova is expected to be back after seeing limited minutes against Petron.
