Three persons  were hit with stray bullets in separate incidents over the weekend in Metro Cebu.

In the City of Naga, southern Cebu, Jessa Sebial, 18, and her relative, Raymond Sebial Obatay, 21, were hit by stray bullets while walking along the riverbank in  barangay Bairan, heading for home.

Sebial sustained a wound in her left cheek while Obatay sustained a gunshot wound in his right foot.

They were brought to the South General Hospital where they remain confined. The victims said they heard gun bursts a few meters from where they were walking and  after a while, they realized that they were wounded.

Police are still trying to identify  who fired a gun.

In Danao City, northern Cebu, a 26-year-old man was rushed to the hospital after he was shot in the leg  Sunday morning in barangay Taytay.

Raymond Tapangan, a laborer, was feeding his chickens in front of his house when he was hit by a stray bullet.

He was later rushed to the Danao Provincial Hospital.

Police said they are not discounting the possibility that Tabangan may have been the target of the gunfire.
