Two Cebu City councilors refund P20K calamity aid

After receiving a notice of disallowance, two Cebu City councilors returned their P20,000 calamity assistance to the City Treasurer’s Office.

Cebu City Councilors Nida Cabrera Cabrera and Eugenio Gabuya Jr. refunded the amount given to them as calamity assistance following the earthquake and super typhoon Yolanda in 2013.

The councilors however said their refund won’t weaken the case filed by lawyer Reeylio Delute for grave misconduct and abuse of authority./ Reporter Jose Santino Bunachita
