The National Bureau of Investigation in Central Visayas (NBI-7) will have a new regional director.

Lawyer Ricardo Diaz will replace Max Salvador, who was given a new assignment at the NBI central office in Manila.

A turnover ceremony will take place on Feb. 3.

Salvador, who hails from Ilocos Norte, was regional director of Bicol before his transfer to Central Visayas in  March 2014.

“The new assignments are just part of our routine reshuffling,” said NBI-7 Assistant Director Dominador Cimafranca.

Also affected by the recent personnel movement was NBI-7 Supervising Agent Jose Ermie Monsanto who was appointed director of the NBI in Samar. Supervising Agent Rennan Augustus Oliva was elevated as Head Agent of NBI-7.

Salvador, Monsanto, and Oliva were the ones who handled the investigation of the ambush-slay of lawyer Noel Archival and his two companions last year.

The NBI filed charges of multiple and frustrated murder against Senior Supt. Romualdo Iglesia, Senior Insp. Joselito  Lerion, and PO1 Alex Bacani—all assigned to the PNP Highway Patrol Group (HPG).

The three policemen are supposedly under restriction in Camp Crame but were not  found when the court issued arrest warrants against them.
