A buy-bust operation in a barangay in Cebu City Thursday night yielded P1.5 million worth of shabu. Operatives of the City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Force and Sawang Calero Police Station arrested Richard Plando, 25, after he allegedly handed one pack of shabu to a poseur buyer.
Plando, a native of Alcoy town, allegedly ran to his rented room in barangay Sawang Calero with police giving chase.
There, the policemen allegedly saw six big plastic packs suspected to contain shabu in plain view.
Senior Insp. Eunil Avergonzado, CAIDSOTF chief, who led the operation said Plando had been under surveillance for three weeks.
Avergonzado said Plando is a big-time drug pusher who can dispose of at least a kilo per week.
