Marwan is dead. The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has confirmed the death of Malaysian terrorist Zulkifli bin Hir, alias Marwan.

Based on Inquirer’s multiple sources, Marwan’s death was affirmed by the FBI after his DNA sample sent by the Philippine government matched with the sample from his brother Rahmat Abhir who is detained at Guantanamo Bay, Florida.

The examination on Marwan’s DNA sample was conducted in Singapore and was completed last Saturday.

Earlier reports said the FBI has confirmed that they have received Marwan’s DNA sample.

Marwan has a $5,000,000 bounty on his head.

The Philippine government, Philippine National Police, and the military have maintained that Marwan was killed in “Operation Wolverine” that resulted in the death of 44 members of the PNP-Special Action Force last January 25.
