Health authorities check out typhoid fever reports in Tuburan

The Cebu Provincial Health Office is verifying reports of another typhoid fever case in Tuburan town, northwest Cebu.

Dr. Cynthia Genoslango, PHO head said they sent a team to investigate five suspected cases in a hinterland barangay of Tuburan.

The five persons are now confined at the Tuburan District Hospital. The Regional Epidemiological Surveillance Unit (RESU-7) also checked on typhoid fever cases in Pinamungajan town. Water sources are now being treated, said health officials.
