GILAS Pilipinas head coach Tab Baldwin named yesterday the team that will don the country’s colors in the upcoming Southeast Asian Games and Southeast Asian Basketball Association basketball tournaments.

Unfortunately, Southwestern University stars Mac Tallo and Jasper Parker did not make the cut.

Instead, named to the team were the respective Most Valuable Players of the UAAP and the NCAA, Ateneo’s Kiefer Ravena and Scottie Thompson.

Composing the team are a who’s who of the Philippine’s amateur basketball scene today led by PBA D-League MVP Bobby Ray Parks, San Beda guard Baser Amer, former National University standouts Glenn Khobuntin and Troy Rosario,

NCAA Most Improved Player Jiovani Jalalon, UAAP Mythical Five member Mac Belo, University of Santo Tomas’ wingman Kevin Ferrer, Ateneo’s Thirdy Ravena, and La Salle aces Norbert Torres, Almond Vosotros, Arnold Van Opstal, Jeron Teng and Prince Rivero.

The team will be reinforced by long-time naturalized player Marcus Douthit.
