Seniors to get P2,000 cash aid each this Friday

Senior citizens in Cebu City will receive their financial assistance from the city government this Friday, April 24.

Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama confirmed this announcement, saying that P2,000 will be given to each of the city’s 55,000 seniors in their respective barangays.

The mayor also said he plans to distribute the cash aid through ATMs so it will be easier and more convenient for the senior citizens.  He instructed the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) to study the idea.

The ATM distribution will also be considered for persons with disabilities (PWDs) and the barangay officials.
