EVERYTHING is green and go for tonight’s ALA-Cobra Tunay Na Lakas Boxing spectacle at the car park of the Super Metro Lapu-Lapu after the card’s featured fighters made weight during yesterday’s official weigh-in at the mall’s activity center

Reigning Philippine super flyweight champion Melvin “Top Gun” Gumban weighed in at the division limit of 115 lbs. as he defends his title against Metro Manila’s Rene “Commander” Dacquel in the 12-round main event.

Dacquel also tipped the scales at 115 lbs.

Bacolod City’s Juren “Turbo” Labordo was one pound over the weight limit of 118 lbs. while his opponent Jason “Dodong” Canoy of Cebu City came in at a perfect 118 lbs. The 10-round bout though, will still push through since there’s no title at stake.

In the undercard bouts, Rafael Sueno of Bacolod City and his opponent Cris Ganoza of Leyte weighed in at 105 lbs.  and 103 lbs., respectively.

Jefcon “Ringo” Concerman of Talisay City, Negros Occidental and Cebuano Andrew Palas weighed in at 118 lbs. and 117 lbs., respectively for their six-round duel while Raul “Vulcan” Yu of Butuan City was a pound heavier than the 115 lbs. limit as his foe, Gerard Suico of Mandaue City weighed exactly 115 lbs. Their match-up is scheduled for six rounds.

Kenneth “Dragon” Neran, the last minute replacement of Jhun Ryan Quimbo, will fight Virgel “Valiente” Vitor of Tagbilaran City, Bohol. He weighed in at 118 lbs. for the six-round bout which will open the night’s explosive card.
The fight card which is free to the public, will start at 6 p.m.
