Whopping cash prizes at stake in Wake Jam

MORE than P40,000 cash is up for grabs in the different divisions and categories of the coming Summer Wake Jam 2015 national wakeboarding and wakeskating competitions set this May 9 and 10 at the Papa Kits beach resort in Liloan, north Cebu.

Cebu Wake Park’s Helmut Estremos, also of the Cebu Boardriding Community, informed Cebu Daily News yesterday that the champion in the Open Wakeboard competition will gain P10,000 cash, while the second and third placers will pocket P5,000 and P3,000 cash, respectively.

The champion in the Ladies’ Open category of the wakeboard competition, on the other hand, will take home P5,000 cash, while the second and third placers will receive P3,000 and P1,000, respectively.

The Open division wakeskate competition champion is set to receive P5,000 cash, the second placer will take home P3,000 while the third placer will get P1,000.

In the Beginners’ wakeboard, the champion will pocket P3,000 cash while the second and third placers will receive P2,000 and P1,000 cash, respectively.

Special awards will also be at stake like the Best Trick in the Open Wakeboard, Open Wakeskate and Ladies’ Open divisions.
