The Cebu City government is planning to build a new school in barangay Kasambagan, Cebu City.

Cebu City Vice Mayor Edgardo Labella has asked the Cebu City Local School Board to assess an area in the barangay where a school will be built.

Lawyer Raddy Diola, chairman of the local school board, said Kasambagan councilor Vivian Colina has been informed of Labella’s request.

Labella said this school will benefit children in the barangay especially those in sitio Panagdait as well as those in Paray in barangay Mabolo, a neighboring barangay.

“A school in the area will cut the cost of transportation for many of the students who have to go to schools located in barangay Mabolo, Banilad and Barrio Luz,” Labella said.
