A 31-year-old man died after he rammed his motorcycle into a Ceres Liner bus on his way home in Maslog, Danao City, Sunday morning.

Eduardo Hermosilla Jr. overtook a cargo truck and drove straight into a Ceres bus coming from Daanbantayan.

The bus was  driven by Danilo Gregorio.

Danao Traffic Offcer P01 Joseph Alidon said that Hermosilla was in the wrong lane when he increased his speed and  overtook the cargo truck without noticing the bus that was heading his way.

Hermosilla was thrown off his motorcycle upon impact and sustained serious head injuries.

He was brought to the Cebu Provincial Hospital, but was proclaimed dead after a few minutes.

The bus driver   surrendered to the Danao Traffic Office after the incident.

According to Alidon,  the Ceres Liner operator promised to help the victim’s family. /UP CEBU INTERN JULI ANN M. SIBI
