Former Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) beach volleyball champion Danika Gendrauli aims to make her mark in the sport once more as she pairs up with Norie Jane Diaz for Gilligan’s to compete in the PLDT Home Ultera-Philippine Superliga Beach Volleyball Challenge Cup 2015, which starts July 18 at the sand court of SM by the Bay.

Gendrauli won the Cesafi crown back in 2011 and will try to use her wealth of experience to topple the stellar cast of competitors in this tournament led by Gretchen Ho and Cha Cruz.

Ho, a commercial model and the league’s former ambassadress, will be teaming up with Frances Molina for Petron XCS while Cruz will connive with veteran Michelle Laborte for Cignal A.

A pair of beauties in Filipino-American Alexa Micek and Fille Cainglet-Cayetano will also be seeing action as they suit up for Petron Sprint 4T while Wensh Tiu and April Rose Hingpit will be campaigning for Cignal B.

Foton will be fielding two teams with Pau Soriano and Bea Tan bannering the Hurricane and Patty Orendain and Fiola Ceballos teaming up for the Foton Tornadoes; Aileen Abuel and Rossan Fajardo campaigning for Philips Gold; Len Cortel and Samantha Dawson suiting up for Sonac; Evangeline Pastor and Kim Ygay powering Quantum Plus A; and Tripoli Aurora and Rochet Dela Paz carrying the cudgels for Quantum Plus B.

In the men’s side, Cebu’s Jade Becaldo will team up Hachaliah Gilbuena who is said to be the heavy favorite after making it to the Top 10 of the AVC Beach Tour Samilia Open in Thailand recently.

Becaldo and Gilbuena will campaign for SM by the Bay, but are expected to be given a tough challenge by players from Champion Infinity, two teams from Cignal, Instituto Estetico Manila, and two teams from University of Perpetual Help Dalta.
