Police arrested a jealous husband who stabbed dead a man driving a motorcycle whose passenger was the assailant’s wife in barangay Sambag 1, Cebu City.
Ricardo Abestano was arrested by policemen, who witnessed the roadside attack.
The victim, Christopher Responde of Alaska, Mambaling, was declared dead at the Cebu City Medical Center.
Abestano was waiting for his wife, Christy, who attended a baptism in Pinamungajan town, midwest Cebu. She arrived on board a motorcycle driven by Responde, a friend of the assailant.
In a jealous rage, Abestano stabbed Responde in the chest with an 11-inch knife. Then he removed the victim’s helmet to see his face.
He also punched his wife.
