Woman sued for estafa

Police will file a case of estafa against a woman who pretended to be an employee of Cebu City Hall.

Nina Ramirez, 20 years old allegedly collects fees from business establishments in barangay San Nicolas to process lacking documents of their business permits.

The Human Resource Development Office however said she is not an employee of the Cebu City Hall and that Ramirez used fake ID by the name of Princess Sorila.

Ramirez told Cebu Daily News her name is Michelle Dagpin and claimed she is 18 years old.

Two complainants went to Mambaling Police Station that caused her arrest yesterday afternoon.

Police will file estafa through swindling and use of aliases. They believe that the con artist belong to a bigger swindling syndicate.

She is now temporarily detained at the Mambaling police station.
