Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma led the blessing of the center last Friday in barangay Guizo, Mandaue City, witnessed by Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes.

Palma said the book contains all the activities of IEC, which will be held on Jan. 24 to 31, 2016.

Archbishop Palma said the book will also serve as a guide to IEC participants who want to join pilgrimage tours to the different churches, such as the Basilica del Sto. Niño, Nuestra Señora dela Regla in Lapu-Lapu City, National Shrine of St. Joseph in Mandaue City, and Our Lady of Lindogon in barangay Simala, Sibonga town in southern Cebu, among others.

“The program, hopeful kaayo ko (that it) would be the main project of this IEC documentation and it is something to treasure. It would document wonderful speeches, sharings and talks that would make people remember the event that happened here in Cebu,” he said.

The IEC organizers are targeting to print 15,000 copies of the book before the congress starts in January next year. Each  delegate will receive a copy of the book.
