At least seven rooms of a three-story boarding house were damaged in an early morning fire  yesterday in barangay San Nicolas, Cebu City.

The fire started in the ceiling of a room occupied by Gladys Macaraya.

Electrical misuse is being looked into as a possible cause of the fire which broke out at 6:40 a.m., said arson investigator Roylen Maratas.

Maratas said  electrical rewiring was recommended since the building was already old.

The fire was contained at 7:02 a.m. Fire damage was pegged at P100,000.
