ENGINEER Nestor Archival is being considered as candidate for Cebu City vice mayor in next year’s comeback  bid of former Cebu City mayor Tomas Osmeña.

But the city councilor said nothing is final until the Bando Osmena – Pundok Kauswagan (BO-PK) is called for a meeting to decide.

“Right now I don’t really know.  I was talking to Tommy a few days ago and I told him that I would be more comfortable running for councilor in the north district.  Right now, I’m really confused.

But whatever it will be, I will just go with the flow,”  Archival told Cebu Daily News.

Archival said decisions will be made when Osmeña calls for a group meeting to finalize their slate.

Osmeña, for his part, said BO-PK would make an announcement  before the filing of certificates of candidacy (COCs) in October.

Their line up is “not yet final”  he said.

So far names have been floated such as former Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) player Bonel Balingit, Labangon barangay chairman Victor Buendia and Mambaling councilwoman Ann Palomo–Vestil as councilors for the south district.

In the north district, possible contenders for councilor are  former Banilad barangay chairperson Malou Tabar and even Councilor Mary Ann delos Santos, in case she decides to bolt Team Rama.

Balingit said in a separate interview that he was invited to join the BO-PK slate last April.

But the party is still awaiting the outcome of a  BO-PK survey to decide who the group should field as candidates.

Nominees have already been visiting  sitios in their district to introduce themselves to voters and to conduct consultations.
