Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale is weighing Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama’s proposal to transfer the province-owned Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) outside of Cebu City.

“If it will just add to the traffic in Minglanilla town and Talisay City, then we won’t allow it,” she told reporters yesterday.

Rama said he wants terminals, particularly the CSBT, to be moved outside the city to better manage public transport.

He suggested moving it farther south, either in Talisay City or Minglanilla town.

Rama said he talked with Davide who is supposedly “very receptive” to the idea. Magpale said a relocation site has to be identified beforehand if it pushes through.

The CSBT stands on nearly one hectare of land owned by the province along Natalio Bacalso Avenue, Cebu City.
