CBM excels in Silliman Swimming

Team Cebu City Niños-Cebu Blue Marlins Swimming Club won multiple gold medals in the 114th Silliman University Founder’s Day Novice and Advanced Age Group Swimfest last Friday at the Silliman University pool in Dumaguete City.

The team, headed by coach Rolando Alvarez,  garnered a total of 17 gold medals, 18 silvers, and eight bronze medals.

Leading the list in the boys’ category was Quintin Zee Sabalande of the Don Bosco Technology Center, who  took home three gold medals. Other gold medalists were Mahorni Blue Villarete of SHS-Ateneo de Cebu (2 golds), Benedict James Orio of Sage Prep School House (1 gold), Mike Gabrielle dela Serna of Tabunok Central School (2 golds), Martin Samuel Del Rosario of Blessed Trinity Achievers Academy (1 gold), Michael Ichiro Kong (2 golds) and Rafael John Dacaldacal (1 gold).

In the girls’ side, gold winners were Dionifel Kate Saraga of Cebu City Central School (1 gold), Dionifel Ann Saraga (1 gold), Alexa Angel Asibal of Guadalupe Elementary School (1 gold), Reesee Kursten Maree Navarro (1 gold), and Blithe Don Castillo of St. Paul Learning Center (1 gold).
