The Project Happy Feet Slipper Race was able to raise P260,000 for Bantay Bata 163’s Bantay Edukasyon Program.

More than 300 participants walked their way in slippers around a 1-km jogging track to complete the challenges.

Organized by Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan, the slipper race is a fund-raising event started by Project Happy Feet Ltd., a Singapore-based non-profit organization whose project principle Crimson adopted.

It stipulates 100 percent of the event’s registration fee  be given to the chosen beneficiary that supports the  education and training of children.
The race opened with a 1-km ceremonial walk.

When it was time for the games, the teams showed their competitive spirit in accomplishing all six pit stops that required teamwork and coordination among group members to efficiently complete the challenges.

The stops for the resort edition race featured the resort’s team-building activities such as aqueduct, giant sack race, crossing the lava bed and shadow walk. Other challenges were word search and blow your mind.

This year’s champion is Monster Radio, which also won the raffle draw for a round-trip ticket to Cebu-Narita, Japan, followed by the Metropolitan Cebu Water District at second and lastly, Quest Hotel and Conference Center Cebu.
