The Office of the Cebu City Prosecutor dismissed charges of falsification of public documents and usurpation of authority against architect Edmund Samson, a member of the Cebu City Zoning Board.

The charges were filed by businessman Adrian Lee whose establishment was closed down by the city government last July.

Prosecutor Ruso Zaragoza said the complaint was  “based on flimsy, unsubstantiated and hearsay or biased interpretation of the circumstances.”

Camia Street Café and Resto, a two-story  building owned by siblings Elaine and Adrian Lee, was closed  by City Hall for failure to comply with zoning and building requirements.”

Laywer  Bernard Garcia of  the Cebu City Legal Office said  that with this dismissal of the charges,  other cases filed by Lee will not prosper.

“In all his cases against City Officials, he alleged that Cebu City Zoning Board  Resolution was a falsified document. Now that the city’s position has been affirmed that it is an authentic document, all his other cases will be also dismissed” he said.
