The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) will resume next week its administrative investigation of Cebu city officials who approved and benefited from P20,000 calamity aid distributed to city government personnel in 2013.

The hearing has been set on  September 7 to 10, 2015 at p.m. at the DILG Regional Office in Cebu City.

A notice of formal investigation dated Aug. 20 was issued by DILG hearing officer Isidro Barios III to lawyer Reymelio Delute  who filed the case against Mayor Michael Rama, Vice Mayor Edgard Labella and 13 city councilors.

The formal inquiry started in July.

Delute presented himself as a witness.

The lawyer who is identified with former mayor Tomas Osmeña will  continue with  direct examination with his co-counsel Benjamin Militar on Monday.

City Legal Officer Jerone Castillo said at least five lawyers from City Hall will cross examine Delute and his witnesses.

Other lawyers are Floro Casas Jr., Carl Sasuman, June Maratas and Guiller Ceniza.

After Delute’s side, it will be the turn of the city officials to present their witnesses.
