TEAM St. Dominic Savio crushed Team Bro. Simon Srugi, 92-75, to bag the championship of the Don Bosco @200 Alumni Basketball Tournament at the Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) arena last Sunday.
Team Don Aloïs Mertens followed suit with a, 101-76 conquest of Team St. Louis John Orione in their battle for third place.
Don Bosco Cebu Alumni, Inc. (DBCAI) president King Michael Najarro Hussain awarded the winners their trophies with (DBCAI) vice president and tournament commissioner Cerwin T. Eviota.
With DBCAI secretary Bruce Alvarado Belotindos and treasurer Ray Gabriel Salgado, the lead organizers also handed the P50,000 check to the Savio players led by playing team manager and point guard Ian Brigoli.
After a, 19-all first quarter, Savio outscored Scrugi, 24-14 in the second to take a 10-point lead, 43-33 heading to the bend and was never seriously threatened the rest of the way.
