Woman accuses two men of rape inside Urgello boarding house
Peter Bendanillo, 48, the caretaker of the boarding house where the rape allegedly took place, is now under police custody.
A 21-year-old woman reported to the police that she was gang raped in a boarding house located along Urgello Street in Barangay Sambag 2 in Cebu City on Monday dawn.
Police arrested Peter Bendanillo, 48, whom Niña (not her real name) identified as the caretaker of the boarding house.
But a second suspect whom she identified as a certain Mark Anthony Dumpe was no longer around when police visited the boarding house this morning.
Chief Insp. David Señor, acting head of the Fuente Police Station, said Niña (not her real name) was partying with a female cousin in a club along Mango Avenue when Dumpi approached her.
Señor said Dumpe followed an already tipsy Niña to the ladies comfort room and punched her on the stomach which caused her to lose her consciousness.
Niña told police that she was already at the Urgello boarding house when she woke up Monday dawn and saw Dumpe and Bendanillo asleep beside her.
Señor said they will file rape charge against the two suspects later today.
