5 nabbed for theft

TWO women and a 22-year-old man were arrested on after they were identified as the ones who allegedly stole the cellphone of a Korean  in barangay Kamputhaw, Cebu City last Thursday night.

Kristylle Milan, 27, Maria Cristita Benemento, 18, and Kevin Castañeda were arrested a few hours after the theft  involving the victim   Sanghak Lee, 26.

Police also arrested two girls who were with the group.

Lee told police that he was walking with a friend on General Maxilom Ave. when they met the suspects, who suddenly hugged him.

Lee later realized that the suspects just tried to distract him and took his cellphone worth P30,000.

The Korean sought the help of the police.

The suspects were spotted near a pension house in Camputhaw. The Korean’s cellphone was recovered from one of the girls.
