A 49-year-old head security guard  was gunned down by unidentified assailants in Anami Homes Subdivision in barangay Tungkil, Minglanilla town, southern Cebu Wednesday afternoon.

Police said the subdivision guard, Renato Montejo Labandero,  succumbed to four gunshot wounds. One bullet pierced his head.

His fellow security guard, Mark Anthony Sevilla, saw the victim lying dead in a grassy area of the subdivision.

Labandero was  head security guard of the subdivision under Bisda Security Agency.

He was found still holding P900 cash in his right hand while a cellphone and an empty wallet with a photo of his son and his service  shotgun were found.

His  .38 caliber gun was missing.

Police are still looking  into the motive of the crime.

SPO2 Oliver Dacua, Talisay police investigator,  said other  security guards had complained about unexplained deductions in their salaries which were distributed by Labandero as head guard.
