DepEd approves schedule of class suspensions

THE Department of Education (DepEd) Cebu City Schools Division has identified specific schools that will be allowed to suspend classes during the 51st International Eucharistic Congress (IEC).

Cebu City Division Schools Asst. Superintendent Danilo Gudelosao said the decision was finalized yesterday in a meeting together with Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction Management (CCDRRM).

Classes will be suspended in Mabolo Elementary School, Mabolo National High School, Bagong Lipunan Elementary School, Barrio Luz National High School and Barrio Luz Elementary School for the week-long IEC.

Abellana National High School, Cebu City Night High School and City Central Elementary School will suspend classes on January 29 and 30 for the first communion of 5,000 kids to be presided by Cebu Archbishop emeritus Ricardo Cardinal Vidal at the Cebu City Sports Center.

Ramon Duterte Night National High School will also suspend its classes on January 28 for the Visita Iglesia.

It will also suspend classes on January 29 along with Guadalupe Elementary School, Tejero Night High School, Lahug Night High School and Lahug Elementary School.
