THE Ukelele Group of Canjulao Elementary School in Lapu-Lapu City went caroling in government offices and selected private companies last Wednesday to raise funds for the fire victims in Purok Caimito, Barangay Canjulao.

The 20-member ukelele group, accompanied by Canjulao Barangay Captain Nestor Paypa and two teachers, serenaded the government offices within the Lapu-Lapu City Hall grounds with their ukelele masterpieces.

The fire razed 17 houses and rendered 30 families homeless.

The fire victims are currently housed in Canjulao Elementary School.

“Though the city has already given them financial assistance but they still need more help to build their houses,” Paypa said in Cebuano.
