Cebu City to release first tranche of cash aid to seniors, PWDs
SOME 67,900 senior citizens and 10,000 persons with disabilities (PWDs) may claim the first tranche of financial assistance for this year from Cebu City Hall on Friday and Monday, respectively, according to Cebu City administrator Lucelle Mercado.
Mercado said senior citizens can claim their financial assistance at their respective barangays, while the financial assistance for the PWDs will be distributed at Plaza Sugbo.
Cebu City Hall will distribute P2,000 to seniors and P1,000 to PWDs.
Mercado said senior citizens who cannot be accommodated in tomorrow’s distribution can still get their share on Monday at the Plaza Sugbo.
Those unable to make it on both dates may proceed to the City Treasurer’s Office. The distribution will run until Feb. 27.
Mercado said they are expediting the distribution process to ensure that all beneficiaries will receive their financial assistance in time for Valentine’s Day.
