A man burning a pile of Nike shoes in support of boxing champ Manny Pacquiao has gone viral on the Internet.

The video, which ran for two minutes and 49 seconds, was uploaded by an Oriel Ballano and viewed 131,260 times as of 5 p.m. It had 2,610 likes and generated 787 comments.

“Burn the Nike sole for the soul,” said the man, holding a pair of Nike shoes before putting these on the pile of Nike shoes on what looked like a metal tray.

Another man then poured gasoline from a plastic bottle and set the shoes on fire on the parking lot of Cebu Coliseum along Sanciangko Street, Cebu City.

While the shoes were burning, the man on the video explained that their group did not hate the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender group, which bashed Pacquiao over his remarks, describing same-sex couples as worse than animals.

“Again, we don’t hate LGBT people, we hate their agenda. The Nike shoes drop out yong kanilang (their) support kay (to) Manny Pacquiao bilang (as) endorser. Today, in response, without hatred, we show, we burn these shoes to show our support sa gay marriage na hindi dapat tama (to show our support that gay marriage is not right),” the man on the video said.

“But again we love all the gays, all the lesbians but we don’t like their agenda. Ang pagsunog po ng mga Nike shoes na ito is isa lamang pong pagpapakita na tayong mga Christiano ay pwede rin tayong maging loud. Hindi tayo tatahimik nalang na pinagtatawanan lng tayo at kinokontrol ng iilan (Burning these shoes is just one way to show that we Christian can also be loud. We will not keep quiet while they are laughing at us and being controlled by a few),” he added.

“No! Love and righteousness, love and righteousness and we show support to righteousness by burning these. it’s a sign that we show righteousness,” he said.
The man also thanked those who believed that Philippines should be saved from immorality.

“Philippines is for Jesus,” the man said his audience cheered and clapped
