Pinoy boxer KOs bigger Japanese foe

Philippine Games and Amusements Board flyweight champion Jonas “Zorro” Sultan defeated Japanese Tatsuya via knockout in their non-title superflyweight  showdown  last Sunday night in Osaka, Japan.

Sultan of the famed ALA Boxing Gym in Cebu downed the bigger Japanese after landing an overhand right to the head at the 2:37 mark of the second round.

The 24-year old Sultan, a native of Zamboanga del Norte who is now based in Cebu, improved his record to 10 wins (six knockouts) and three losses while Ikemizu dropped to 13-2-0 (win-loss-draw) with seven knockout victories.
