Six houses destroyed in Basak San Nicolas fire
SIX houses were destroyed and another one was damaged in a fire that broke out at the Highway Tagunol, Basak San Nicolas, Cebu City at 2:30 am today.
SF04 Roylin Maratas of the Cebu City Fire Department said the fire may have been caused by a lighted mosquito coil that was left unattended by the occupants of the house.
The fire reportedly started at the house of Elena Alicante and it spread to neighboring houses that were made of light materials.
The fire was put under control after 15 minutes. No one was hurt, Maratas said.
