A POLL watcher of Tuburan Mayor Aljon Diamante accused mayoral candidate Daphne Lagon’s camp of vote-buying.

Jebel Montebon reported the incident to the Tuburan police precinct at midnight.

The 33-year-old Montebon said he was called to Lagon’s campaign headquarters located in barangay Poblacion 5 at 8 pm last Sunday and was allegedly confronted by former mayor Rose Suezo, who castigated him for volunteering as Diamante’s poll watcher when he is staying in a lot she owns.

Montebon, a resident of barangay Jagbuan, claimed Suezo offered him to stay overnight in Lagon’s campaign headquarters.

He alleged that staffers soaked his right index finger with indelible ink and Suezo handed him a P1,000 bill.

Lagon denied Montebon’s allegation and said Montebon was never brought to their campaign headquarters.
