A RANDOM manual audit committee in coordination with the Commission on Elections (Comelec), National Citizens Movement for Free Elections (Namfrel) and Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) conducted a manual verification of the ballots from 19 clustered precincts in Cebu province and one from Bohol province starting Thursday.

The manual counting was done for review purposes and not to verify votes for any specific candidate, national or local.

Telibert Laoc, a member of the random manual audit committee, said these clustered precincts are randomly picked by the Comelec and they will submit their audit results to the Comelec central office.

He said the verification will end next week.
