Sorongon rules 21k run of Hunat Sugbu 6

RUFFA Sorongon dominated the Women’s 21-kilometer half marathon race of the Hunat Sugbu 6: Dagan Para ni Maning yesterday at the Ayala Center Cebu.

Sorongon of Sultan Kudarat finished the race in one hour, 31 minutes and 27 seconds.

Jenelyn Nobleza placed second after clocking 1:31.29 while April Flynn rounded off the top three with a time of 1:37.05.

The Men’s 21k race was dominated anew by Kenyans as Eric Chipsiror and Joseph Mururi finished first and second, clocking 1:12.49 and 1:13.31, respectively. Local runner Jason Agravante completed the top three finishers with a time of 1:15.14.

Winners in the 12k race were Rafael Piscos and Cresilda Alianec. Arnel Florentino and Cherry Andrin dominated the 6k race while Katherine Yu and Mark Dome Dinoy topped the 3k run.

The foot race was organized by the Cebu Parklane International Hotel. Proceeds were given to the Jesu Christi Community’s medical missions.
