THE 2002 Legendary Lions continue to run roughshod over the rest of the competition in Division 2 as they thwarted the 1997 Ronins, 89-80, in the University of San Carlos North Alumni Basketball Conference President’s Cup last weekend at the USC North Gym.

The trio of James Tagalog, two-time Cesafi MVP Enrico Llanto and Rocky Alcoseba proved to be too much to handle for the Ronins as they combined for a whopping 68 points. Tagalog had 27, Llanto punched in 25 while Alcoseba chipped in 16 for the Lions, who bumped their win-loss record to a clean 6-0.

In other matches in the same division, the Sipat ‘98 beat the 1996 Chubbies, 82-72, and the 1999rs also came away with victorious with a 71-66 win over the 2000 Millennium.

In Division 3, last year’s runners-up, the 2011 Elevens, elevated their record to 6-0 with a win over the previously-unbeaten 2006 Fury, 84-65, and a default win over the 2005 Chameleons.
