Tumulak calls for funding of city police

Cebu City Councilor David Tumulak called on the executive department to implement the already allocated budget for the police despite Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña’s pronouncement to withdraw support to the Cebu City Police Office.

Tumulak said it pains him as the chairman of the Council’s Committee on Peace and Order to see that there’s no funds for the city police.

He said the mayor cannot realign the budget allocated to the police if there is no approval from the council.

The Council allocated a P28 million budget last year for police equipment including firearms.
