THAI superstar Marior Maurer, who made a mark in the hearts of Filipino fans for his role in “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” has flown back to Manila to promote Thailand’s tourism.

As the new face of Tourism Authority of Thailands (TAT) latest campaign, dubbed “Experience Thailand with Mario,” the Thai heartthrob has made his latest stop in the country for his promotional tour.

Joining Mario in encouraging Filipinos to visit Thailand are the Ambassador of Thailand to the Philippines Thanatip Upatising, and the director of TAT to Singapore and the Philippines, Kajorndet Apichartrakul.

Mario, describing his country as a place full of “beautiful destinations,” has recommended two cities that tourist should not miss if they plan to visit Thailand.

“If you’re a first timer I recommend you visit the major cities such as Bangkok because in Bangkok, you have many things to explore like the old temples, the food, the people there,” Maurer quoted during the press conference.

The Thai superstar also recommended the city of Chiang Mai, which is a one-hour flight away from Bangkok, where tourists can do nature exploration.

When in Thailand, Mario said one must not forget to have a Thai massage. “We’re very good at it. I can do some,” Mario teased.
